Betsy Guarducci

Betsy Guarducci has been employed as the Executive Director of the United Labor Agency for ten years. She has taken the ULA from an Employee Assistance Program through a successful licensure process to the Spring 2009 opening of Greater Essex Counseling Services.

Betsy's early background in the mental health field has brought a strong commitment to "Client Focused Treatment". In support of her work with the Agency, she sits on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and the Consumer Credit Counseling Services of New Jersey.

Katy Linton

Katy Linton has worked with the United Labor Agency since 2001 acting as their Finance Administrator, Paralegal, and Office Manager. She is a certified paralegal with over 20 years experience for various law firms throughout Northern New Jersey. Katy also served on the board of the Essex County chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) in the capacity of Treasurer as well as various committees for NAMI.

Katy's background in the legal field has enabled her to help ULA/GECS clients with various needs and her spiritual beliefs give her the compassion and understanding needed to help support each client throughout their course of treatment.

Andy Wardlow

Andy Wardlow has worked with the United Labor Agency since its opening in March, 2009 as a Substance Abuse Counselor. He facilitates Outpatient (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) group sessions, as well as one-on-one sessions with our clients. He conducts NJSAMS assessments, as well as BioPsychoSocial assessments. Andy specializes in Crisis Intervention.

Andy has had three years of experience working as a Substance Abuse Counselor in Outpatient facilities, and has two hundred seventy (270) school hours as well as eight thousand (8000) work hours to credit. He has excellent communication skills and is able to listen to what people are really saying. He also has the great ability to speak with people honestly and sincerely. Andy is a CADC in training.

Thomas Wright

Thomas Wright has been an intern with Greater Essex Counseling Services since March of 2009 as a Substance Abuse Counselor. He facilitates Outpatient (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) group sessions on the 12 Steps and other topics of addition. He also facilitates one-on-one sessions with clients.

Thomas has 12 years of experience working in the field of drug and alcohol substance abuse, including working with inmates. He is the founder of No Different Than You, a motivational speaking group. No Different Than You speaks to young adults and kids (mainly in schools) on drug addiction.
